About
I knew who I was this morning, but I've changed a few times since then.
— Alice, Alice in Wonderland
I’m an Italian software engineer but I don’t write spaghetti code 🤌 (ahah)
I waste most of my time thinking about building things.
I use most of my time building things.
If you are curious about what I use, check out my /uses page. To know more about this website, the /colophon is the place.
To know me better, keep reading.
Learn
In middle school, I wrote myself a note that reads:
If something intrigues you, dedicate 10 hours to it. If it gets interesting, give it 100 hours. Then, if you like it, dedicate as much time as you can.
I always try to be the least experienced or the youngest in the room, and usually I am. It’s through these experiences that I have been able to push my limits.
That’s me on the right, following bigger & faster boats.
I’m always looking for individuals who speak with passion and excitement. They have taught me a lot.
Tech
I’ve learned to code at 12 years old after my grandmother gifted me her coding notebook from 1987.
Since then, I experimented with design, web design, 3d modeling, video game development, web apps development, photo editing, video making, making music, writing, making software, app development, electronics, robotics.
There is just too much cool stuff around.
In high school, I became fascinated with artificial intelligence and dedicated myself to studying and applying everything I could learn.
Through my tireless experimentation and exploration, I have created a number of exciting and innovative projects. Some of them are described here.
Work
I’ve founded magicvision.ai alongside a group of friends. We've established a company dedicated to developing custom artificial intelligence products.
Since 2017, we've tackled various startup projects, including a marketplace for automation solutions and a surveillance system.
Here you can see me (left) and one of my co-founders (right) years ago in our garage phase.
Curious to find out what data science really means, I started a data scientist internship at Leroy Merlin. It was a great experience know better about the corporate world, but I left it to focus on my startup.
In the past I've built different websites and web applications for people who asked me. If you want one, write me an email.
School
While my formal education has provided me with a solid base, my skills are built on long nights of self-study.
YouTube, Udemy, GitHub and blogs are the best place to learn. Also, famous university like MIT or Harvard offer most of their courses for free.
Currently, I'm pursuing my computer science degree at the University of Milano Bicocca.
Nature
I'm fascinated by the great outdoors.
My dad taught me how to ski when I was 4.
Intrigued by the idea of living in nature I started my scout journey at 9, a small line in this paragraph but a big part of my life.
At the age of 10 I learned to sail on Lake Como.
At 16, together with two friends, we bought a 6 meters sailboat and formed a sailing team called Moulin Rouge Sailing Team.
We participated in competitions and learned a lot from the best.
Since 2019 I have been teaching sailing for a sailing school in Como, and since 2022 I’m a national instructor.
Fun fact: I'm writing this page on a sailboat :)
